Let’s just start this out by stating the obvious: We all deserve good sheets. Sheets should be enjoyable, not just a necessity. You should be putting thought into what you’ll be sleeping under each night. Whether that’s percale or sateen, your sheets decision could affect how you sleep, which will affect the rest of the day. We’ve rounded up some of the highest-rated sheets that will keep you waking up on the right side of the bed each morning (or at least give you a head start).
Linen Sheet Set
Parachute’s Linen Sheets are the softest sheets I’ve tried. “Unlike some other brands I’ve tried, Parachute’s linen comes pre-broken in. This means that it is unbelievably soft from the very first time you sleep in it, without having to wash it first.” They are also “anti-microbial, which is good because they don’t get gross all that easily, but better yet, they are easy to wash. They can go in the machine and even the dryer without shrinking, too.
Purple SoftStretch Sheets
While Scouted Editor Jillian Lucas loves the old Purple sheets for how lightweight, stretchy, and honestly, unique they are, the new Soft Stretch Sheets are a step up in every direction. Made of a Rayon, Bamboo Viscose, and Polyester blend, these “have a significantly more hefty, luxurious feel than the original sheets, and are even more ‘stretchyyy,’ than their predecessors.” They are perfect for hot sleepers.
Luxe Sateen Sheets
Despite these being Brooklinen’s best-selling sheets, Scouted Contributor Rachel Dube says she was skeptical at first, but now she can say for certain they “have literally changed the way [she] sleeps.” She writes, “These sheets feel like silky butter against my skin, making it insanely easy to just immerse myself in them.” and “Aside from being insanely soft, they’re also super breathable due to the cotton material and have a 480 thread count.”
Columbia Organic Cotton Sateen Weave Performance Sheet Set
When Scouted Contributor Chyelle Dvorak was sleeping without AC, she thought she was done for. Thankfully, she was using these sheets and she slept the whole night through, no problemo. She writes, “These sheets are made from 100% organic cotton, which means they are environmentally friendly and made without harsh chemicals. They’re also designed with special moisture-wicking technology, which is created especially to keep you dry. This technology helps your body breathe easier and allows perspiration to evaporate, so your sheets regulate temperature for you.”
Heirloom Linen Sheet Set
“Woven from 100% “Heirloom” French or Belgian flax linen, Morrow makes sheets that are breathable, extremely durable, and keep me (a very hot sleeper) cool no matter the temperature.” They are extremely stylish, too. “Their color palette includes chic options like Terracotta and Fawn, to upgraded basics like Bone.”
100% Lyocell Sheet Set
Scouted Contributor Jessica Booth loves Sheets & Giggles sheets saying they “feel like actual silk,” are “actually affordable,” and are “more environmentally friendly than most options.” She writes, Not only are they soft, they’re also incredibly breathable and have a really lovely light feeling.” She also “loveshow they fit on the bed. They’re larger than some other sheets I’ve tried, but thanks to a thick elastic along the entire edge, they stay put.”
Mellani Bed Sheet Set
Scouted Contributor Wendy Rose Gould says Amazon’s most popular sheets deliver. She writes, “The first night I tucked myself into them I felt like I was enveloped in luxury. They are soft but still crisp, allow enough airflow to keep you cozy but not hot, and they’re wrinkle reluctant which helps with the overall aesthetic of the room.” The best selling sheets are “made from brushed microfiber, are hypoallergenic, and come in 43 different color options and any size you could possibly need.”
Ultrasoft Comfort Flannel Sheet Set
Scouted Contributor Maria Cassano is now a firm believer in seasonal bedding thanks to these L.L. Bean Flannel Sheets. Even though they are made out of cotton like her favorite Brooklinen pair, “Their brushed, weighted texture directs your body heat back towards you while simultaneously remaining breathable. That means when I have to get up at 2 a.m. to let the dog out, my bed is still warm and cozy when I get back — but when I shut my door and the heat gets trapped in my bedroom, I never overheat.” Her no-longer-cold feet thank her for making the swap.
We already loved Buffy’s comforter. Then Scouted Editor Jillian Lucas gave their Eucalyptus bedding a try. Made from 100% eucalyptus , they are “crazy-sustainable and cool-to-the-touch.” While the Buffy comforters are called because of how soft it is, Jillian says, “these sheets should be called… something that’s softer and lighter than that. Puppy fur. Marshmallows. They’re soft in a way that makes you want to cuddle immediately.”
The Regulator Sheet Set
Scouted Contributor Gideon Grudo thinks My Sheets Rock Bedsheets are the coolest he’s tried. He writes, “The set is made from 100% bamboo rayon fiber and feels silky-smooth, eliciting an “oooh” and “aaah” from my partner when I pulled them out of the package. And when we woke up, I wasn’t sweaty at all. Nothing.”
