She’s a grand ole flag, she’s a high-flyin’ flag…
She may also be a quick deterrent for would-be burglars.
Criminals reportedly skip over homes that have American flags flying on them out of fear that those homes contain well-trained, gun-toting homeowners inside them.
Triumph Systems, Inc. reports that home burglaries spike during the months of July and August, and that suspected gun owners’ homes are less likely to be targeted.
It stands to reason. Our eyewitness team knows from walking neighborhoods during campaigns over the last 20 years that homes with American flags are almost always home to registered Republicans, and registered Republicans strongly believe in the Second Amendment.
In fact, a Pew Research Center survey shows that 59% of conservatives disclose having at least one gun in the home.
Compare this to just 27% of liberals who say they have a firearm.
72% of all Americans state that they own a gun for personal protection — to protect themselves, their property, and their loved ones.
A majority of Americans (52%) say gun ownership increases safety.
However, one California town disagrees. They suggest the opposite is true.
City officials in Redlands cite one specific ex-burglar who actually targeted a home primarily because of its American flag. The burglar told police that he preyed upon the home because he believed it would have guns inside, which he could then resell for cash.
This led city officials to warn residents about flying American flags near the Fourth of July holiday. However, take their admonishment with a grain of salt. The entire Redlands City Council is pretty much overbearing and Communist so it’s no surprise they’d suggest you not protect yourself.
Typical California liberals!
